Hello, or Moi, as we say in Finland. I am originally from Turku, southwest coast of Finland but currently live in London and get homesick more now than 17 years ago when I moved to the UK to study.

I work as a Movement Director , Performer and a Creative Practitioner/teacher.  I  started my career as a dancer and have now developed into a multitasker working in theatre, live art, dance and circus scenes and I love it all.

I trained at The Northern School of Contemporary Dance BPA(hons) and later on completed my Masters degree in Dance Theatre, The Body In Performance at Trinity Laban. I tend to combine my skills and knowledge in dance, movement work , physical theatre, aerial and film, to devise and sometimes perform, in multidisciplinary productions. I have recently finished a UK and international tour of Into The Light that I had the pleasure of co-directing with Scott Graham from Frantic Assembly. We arenext taking the show to Mainz, Germany.

Alongside of my independent freelance projects I work for Frantic Assembly Theatre Company delivering creative residencies and workshops in the UK and Internationally, trips include delivering workshops and creating new work with actors and students in US ; New York, Houston, Santa Cruz, LA,Chicago, Jeju island in South Korea and Singapore. Next stop will be Shanghai.

I  am Upswing Aerials Creative Associate , most recently I developed workshops and directed a piece that toured into Care Homes in Hull and acted as Rehearsal/ Associate Director for the outdoor show Red Shoes. I am a long time collaborator with the performance artist Lauren Barri Holstein. Our newest show, Notorious with The Famous Lauren Barri Holstein & Co had its world premier at Barbican in 2017 and the latest stop was Tramway Theatre for Take me Somewhere Festival 2019.

I have an extensive amount of experience in working with vulnerable youth, adults and elderly, neurodivergent actors, working in community engagement, youth theatre and professional settings. I think it is important to bring theatre and the joy of creating to places where it might not naturally land and to people who might have never experienced it and make theatre, creativity and performance accessible for all. I have had the privilege to work with companies such as Haringey Youth, Body & Soul Foundation, Hijinx Theatre, Heart'n Soul at The Albany, Graeae Theatre, Deafinitely Theatre, Tramway Theatre Arts and Able Ensemble (Chicago,US).

I am always interested and curious to make new connections and sharing the joy of creating! Do get in touch!
